The Advanced Troubleshooting & Diagnostics course at HVAC Training Academy is designed to help HVAC technicians develop the real-world diagnostic skills needed to identify, analyze, and repair complex heating and air conditioning system issues. This hands-on training program focuses on teaching technicians how to think like professional service technicians by understanding system operation, recognizing abnormal conditions, and using proper diagnostic procedures to locate faults efficiently.
 
Throughout the course, students will work directly with HVAC equipment and diagnostic tools while learning step-by-step troubleshooting methods used in the field. Training includes evaluating refrigeration system performance, analyzing superheat and subcooling readings, diagnosing airflow problems, identifying electrical faults, testing capacitors and contactors, checking compressors, and understanding how different system components interact during operation. Students will also learn how to interpret pressure and temperature readings, analyze system symptoms, and apply logical troubleshooting processes that reduce guesswork and unnecessary part replacement.
